San Diego Whale Watching Tours

During the winter and spring months, the California Gray Whales make their lengthy migration from the Bering Sea in Alaska to the Baja California Peninsula in Mexico. The close proximity of this migration along the San Diego coastline affords us the excellent opportunity to view these majestic mammals in their natural environment.

For the past 35 years, Seaforth Landing has offered daily San Diego whale watching tours from January through mid-March. Depending on the time of year these trips last two to three hours. All of our trips are thoroughly narrated by our well-trained captains and crew. They will take you along the San Diego coastline looking for these great animals, providing a great view of our beaches and cities. Along with Gray Whales, our local waters are also frequented by dolphins, sea lions, blue whales, and even the occasional orca.

Our captains and crews, with many years of local whale watching experience, work very hard to assure you of a safe, exciting and informative experience with us.

Reservations are required for this trip. This is one of our most popular trips, especially during the summer months, so please be sure to give yourself as much time as possible when making reservations. A 50% deposit may be required to hold your reservation. The balance of your ticket(s)can be paid with cash or credit on the day of the trip.
