Amazing Surf
In case anyone was concerned, the large swells that are creating some amazing surf on our shores isn't affecting our whale watching trips! Once we got out of the harbor we had smooth sailing for the entire day and ended up seeing 14 gray whales and 600 common dolphins!! Whale Count:

Picture perfect day on the water
The ocean was so calm and the sky was clear all day! We saw 11 gray whales on our first trip, including 7 all withing a quarter mile of each other! The afternoon trip saw 4 more grays and a huge pod of offshore bottlenose dolphins that were super playful! Whale Count:

Spectacular Day
Day 2 of the new year and it was spectacular! On our first trip we saw 8 gray whales including our first southbound cow/calf pair!! The second trip saw 5 more grays including one that breached twice and spy-hopped twice! Super awesome day on the water!! Whale Count:

Happy New Year!!
2012 had an interesting start. We had fog on our morning tour, but still managed to find 1 gray whale and 75 common dolphins. The fog got worse by the afternoon trip, but after about an hour Mother Nature cleared the skies and showed us 4 more gray whales and 2 bottlenose dolphins! Whale Count:

Fins Whales and Commons 9 Miles from Port
Tuesday's trip took us 9 miles NW of Mission Bat to see thousands of common dolphins and 2 fin whales! We have 2 trips each day this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! See you out there and Happy Thanksgiving! Whale Count:

Labor Day Blues!
A great Labor Day! We had 1 blue whale and about 1000 common dolphins on the am trip and 2 blue whales on the pm trip! Thanks to everyone for coming out with us this weekend.

The Summer Blues!
The blues of summer continue! Today we had 12 blue whales on both of our trips, plus over a thousand common dolphins! It looks like the animals decided to work this Labor Day weekend.

On the move! 8/28/11
Today’s am trip had 2 minke whales, but only briefly. They were in travel mode and therefore didn't stay at the surface very long. The pm trip had a very entertaining pod of common dolphins with "belly-up" feeding right off the bow!

Minkes are stealing the show! Today we saw one beautiful minke whale lunging its head out of the water when it surfaced. Plus we had several thousand common dolphins with tons of calves again!

Minke whale numbers increase! 8/26/11
The minke whale sightings keep increasing! Today we had a total of 6 minkes and 2 blue whales (including Captain Hook). The minkes were feeding among a pod of 500 long-beaked common dolphins and hundreds of sooty shearwaters (birds). The weather couldn't have been better…book your adventure today!

The minke sightings continue! Today we saw 5 including a cow/calf pair! Plus we had common dolphins all throughout the trip…totalling between 2 and 3 thousand! Whale Count:

2 blue whales for our trip today. They were really on the move, but were still enjoyed by all on board. Plus we had a nursery pod of common dolphins….almost every time one surfaced it was accompanied by a calf!! Whale Count:

Whales right by the boat! 8/20/11
Blue whales put on a show today! We saw about 7 or 8 on the first trip, and even though they were preoccupied with food, we did see several gorgeous fluke displays. The second trip had one whale fluke right off the stern and another that played “chicken” with the bow….it even turned up its pectoral flippers in a motion to stop to avoid hitting the boat! Plus, the common dolphins were acrobatic and as playful as ever! Whale Count:

Our 3 hour trips had an amazing showing of blue whales. 5 whales on each trip to be exact and about 500 common dolphins! The morning trip even got a glimpse of some Rissos. Another great day on the Pacific! Whale Count:

One Lonely Minke Whale!! 8/18/11
No blue whales today, but saw 1 adorable minke whale swimming among a huge flock of feeding birds. It was probably also feeding on the small bait fish…minke’s are a baleen whale that eat a mix of fish and krill! This is a very cool and hard-to-find species! Whale Count:
